Director and Curator
Karen Levitov
Bio
Karen Levitov is the Director and Curator of the Zuccaire Gallery at the Staller Center for the Arts and Professor of Practice in the Art Department at Stony Brook University. Since 2014, she has presented over twenty-five exhibitions of diverse contemporary artists, with a focus on social justice issues and collaborative projects. In addition, she organizes student and faculty exhibitions and teaches a gallery management class and a scholars freshman seminar on modern art and creative expression. Levitov is the recipient of a SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence and Stony Brook University’s Presidential Grant for Departmental Diversity Initiatives.

Georgia LaMair Tomczak
Bio
Georgia LaMair Tomczak is the Senior Manager of Community Engagement and Gallery Operations at the Zuccaire Gallery. Guided by a passion for transforming complex ideas into meaningful and accessible experiences, Georgia believes museums should cultivate community, connection, and inclusivity. She comes from a background of environmental work and education, working for the Department of Environmental Conservation in NYC, the Horticultural Society of New York, and the Student Conservation Association in California. She holds a Master's Degree in Museum Studies from the Cooperstown Graduate Program.
